Since 2006 RMNPforums.com & RMNPguide.com has initiated and promoted "Thank A Ranger Day". We use this day to give thanks to the rangers of our favorite national park, Rocky Mountain National Park. This has been something our community is passionate and enthusiastic about. Now we want to spread the word about "Thank A Ranger Day" so that others can join in and thank rangers in any of the national parks. We do this to show our appreciation for their service that may be overlooked and many times under appreciated. Most importantly, we do this to honor the memory of RMNP ranger, Jeff Christensen. Jeff died while in service on a backcountry patrol in Rocky Mountain National Park on July 29, 2005.

If you would like to participate in "Thank A Ranger Day" just send a thank you card to your favorite national park(s)....it's that simple. Make sure your card is mailed in time for it to be received by July 29th. It will also help to reference "Thank A Ranger Day". Thank you for your help spreading the word about "Thank A Ranger Day".
