Review
Siskin is shaded with lodgepole pines and boulders. There are two flat areas for tents, both within the 15' rule of posting from the arrowhead. The upper one has a slight pitch, and the lower one does not. There is enough room for a four person tent on the upper area and probably on the lower as well. Water is available from the North St. Vrain Creek about 100 yards down from the site. It is quite audible and can serve as white noise for sleeping.
Pros
- Far enough from the trail to be private.
- Ideal as a base camp for destinations such as Ouzel Lake, Bluebird Lake, Ouzel Peak, Isolation Peak, Thunder Lake, Boulder-Grand Pass, Tamina Peak, Lion Lakes, Trio Falls, Snowbank Lake, Mt. Alice, Chiefs Head, Finch Lake, Pear Lake and others.
